Outline of Final Research Achievements

We examined seasonal variations of the impact zone of freshwater-derived nutrients and its effects on phytoplankton in the coastal area of the Seto Inland Sea in western Japan using the spatial distributions of water temperature, salinity, oxygen and hydrogen stable isotope ratios (δ18O, δD) and radon (222Rn) concentrations as multi-tracers.
