Outline of Final Research Achievements

Seismic basement diffracted waves are generated when the source is located near the sediment-seismic basement interface. In this study, we investigated effects of strong motion records on seismic basement diffracted waves excited by shallow inland earthquakes. We revealed the generation mechanism and characteristics of the seismic basement diffracted waves using strong motion simulation.
