ヤマブシタケは、歴史的に食用および薬用として利用されてきたキノコである。近年では、神経科学の研究分野で大きな注目を集めており、様々な神経疾患を改善することができると考えられている。しかし、その神経保護活性に関連する分子メカニズムに関する研究は不足しており、ヤマブシタケの開発と利用にとって大きな障害となっている。本研究は、神経保護活性を発揮するヤマブシタケ中の活性成分を同定し、その作用機序を深く研究することで、ヤマブシタケの医薬や機能性食品への発展に対する強力な科学的根拠を築くことである。
