Keywords1D-2D heterostructure / single photon emitter / interface exciton
Outline of Research at the Start

The interface excitons exhibit quantum confinement at room temperature, which holds promise as single-photon sources. To fully explore the potential, this proposal aims to characterize the orientation of 1D-2D interface excitons using defocused photoluminescence imaging technology, purify single-photon emission by mechanical modulation, and demonstrate practical single-photon emitters within a field-effect transistor structure. The study will open new opportunities for applications in quantum technologies, significantly advancing the emerging field of 1D-2D heterostructures.
