Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、ダライラマ政権の中央ユーラシアとの間の交通に対する政策史と清朝の関与の復元を通じ、両者の緊密な交流が近代まで維持した背景を解明することを目的とする。17世紀に成立したダライラマ政権は、自然環境による移動上の困難がありながら、チベット仏教を背景に清朝やモンゴル勢力との紐帯を拡大し、その緊密な関係を近代まで維持する。本研究では、この移動が維持された背景の解明に向け、近刊の清朝档案史料（公文書）の読解に加え、中国第一歴史档案館や中国青海省での調査を実施する。それによりダライラマ政権の交通政策史と清朝の関与を復元し、チベットの自律性と清朝支配のあり方に対して独自の見解の提示を目指す。
