Outline of Research at the Start

気象現象の激化等によりインフラの倒壊が多発する現在、強さと恒常性を前提とした剛構造という従来の土木のモダニスト的な夢は問い直され、柔構造のレジリエトなインフラへの関心が高まっている。途上国にみられるような自然素材を用いた民俗土木技術は、こうした流れのなかで示唆的な事例とされる一方、あくまで「外部」にある非近代的な「他者」の技術として参照されてきた。本研究では、ラオスでインフラと開発に関する民族誌的調査を行い、クイア理論を援用することで近代／非近代という二元論を超えてたノンバイナリーな視点から先進国の標準的なインフラとされてきた科学技術を脱自然化し、そのノーマティビティの前提を問う。
