Outline of Research at the Start

頂点代数は共形的な場の量子論の対称性を記述する代数系であり，Borcherdsによって導入された．最近，本研究課題の研究代表者は頂点代数に対して自由加群の概念を導入し，組合せ論や表現論などに応用した．通常，代数系の研究において自由加群は基本的な役割を果たすため，頂点代数上の自由加群もさらなる応用が期待される．本研究課題では，頂点代数上の自由加群を様々な具体例に即して研究し，理論を強力に推し進める．
