本研究では,低解像度の広領域探査データを画像処理技術で高解像度化し,大質量銀河や原始銀河団の構成銀河など,遠方希少天体の合体割合(fmerg)を測定する.遠方希少天体と低質量銀河や一般領域の銀河のfmergを比較し,銀河合体が遠方希少天体の形成・進化に及ぼす影響を評価する.
