Outline of Research at the Start	我が国では少子高齢化などにより、縮小・効率化された多極型都市構造への転換が進められている。多極型都市では、複数の中心地での都市機能の分担とそれを結ぶ交通網が前提となるため、すべての地域で多極型の都市構造が有用であるか不明である。本研究では、限られた資源でこれらの公的サービスへのアクセスや地域コミュニティを維持するため、都市と郊外を含む公共・公益機能の分担を前提とした、自治体境界に依存しない多極型地域構造の成立性を探る。具体的には地域人口モデルと施設配置モデルを組み合わせることで、極となる拠点の人口規模、それらを結ぶことによる移動利便性によって評価する新たな多極型都市構造モデルを構築する。
