Outline of Research at the Start

小径動脈瘤や手術困難症例に対する治療法がないため、新規治療法の開発は必要不可欠である。T細胞やマクロファージが血管壁のリモデリングに重要な役割を持つことが知られており、これらを制御できれば動脈瘤に対する薬物治療が可能となる。ヒト動脈瘤検体をプロテオミクスで網羅的に解析して、治療ターゲットとなり得るタンパクを探求し、動物モデルにおいて効果を確認する。新規治療法が開発可能となれば、これまで治療選択肢のなかった患者に恩恵が得られる。
