Outline of Research at the Start

頭頸部癌に対する新たな特異的免疫療法の開発のため、Pentraxin-3を標的とした癌ペプチドワクチン療法に着目した。Pentraxin-3は炎症性タンパクの一種で、頭頸部癌において腫瘍増殖や転移を促進するとされるが、同タンパクを標的とした治療法はなく画期的な治療法と言える。癌ペプチドワクチン療法の実用化には最適なアジュバントが必要である。分子標的薬の1種であるEED阻害薬は単独で抗腫瘍効果を示し、また免疫惹起作用を有している。Pentraxin-3から抗腫瘍ヘルパーT細胞を惹起可能なエピトープペプチドを同定し、頭頸部癌に対する新規ペプチドワクチン療法やEED阻害薬との併用療法の確率を指す。
