Outline of Research at the Start

BMP3bはBMP3とともに骨代謝を負制御する。さらに、 BMP3とBMP3bは発現部位が一致し高い相同性をもち、ノックアウトマウスの骨のフェノタイプがマイルドであることから、BMP3とBMP3bは生理的に代償しているのではないかと仮説を立てた。本研究ではBMP3と BMP3bのダブルノックアウトマウスを用いて骨再生モデルを作製・解析し、BMP3およびBMP3bをターゲットとした骨再生医療応用への基盤形成を目指す。
