Outline of Research at the Start	高齢者が多くの自分の歯を残すようになり、口腔機能の維持・回復を目的とした口腔機能管理が重要視されるようになった。口腔機能低下に対して、より早期から対策するためには、高年期に加え、中年期も含めた口腔機能に関する知見創出が必要である。そこで本研究は、40歳以上の口腔機能に関するデータベースを構築し、年代別に口腔機能の実態について基礎的知見を整理するとともに、加齢による口腔機能への影響等を検討することを目的とした。本研究結果をふまえ、中年期から高年期におけるシームレスな口腔機能管理法を提示する。
