Outline of Research at the Start

糖尿病神経障害は、足の健康（フットケア）に関連する糖尿病合併症だが、有効な治療は未確立である。糖尿病神経障害による、神経線維の立体的な構造異常について研究する。神経を構成する軸索ーミエリンに関する遺伝子異常を特定する。軸索ーミエリンの構造破壊・損傷プロセスの再現実験を実施する。これらの実験を通じて、糖尿病合併症進行予防・治療標的の解明に取り組む。
