Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、大乗仏教において核心的概念である〈不生不滅〉（生じることなく滅することもない）という思想の歴史的形成と展開を明らかにします。
この概念は「無生」などの否定表現を通じて真理を表現する仏教特有の論理と深く関わっています。研究では、部派仏教から大乗仏教、さらに中国仏教への思想的発展過程を、サンスクリット語・チベット語・漢文の経典や論書を多言語的・文献学的に比較検討します。
国内外の研究者との共同研究を通じて、この思想の多角的解明を進め、成果を英語論文集として国際的に発信します。
これにより、仏教思想における否定表現を通じた真理表現の特質を体系的に理解する新たな学術的視座の構築を目指します。
