Outline of Research at the Start

社会や人間に加え生態系や他の生命とのコミュニケーションを包摂するアジア発のネイチャー・エンゲイジド・アート(NEA)の確立を目指す。生態タイプが異なるアジア地域で、自然環境に関与する芸術実践を調査し、芸術的価値、社会的価値、生態的価値の評価基準を解明する。また実験区での作品制作を通じて、研究者・芸術家・地域関係者の協働プロセスや制作手法モデルを検証し、国内外の異なる環境タイプの実験区で構築したモデルをを往還しながら検証する。芸術実践の評価・分析と協働・制作手法において、環境タイプの固有性と環境に依存しない普遍性を解明し、理論化したNEAのフレームを他のアジア地域での芸術実践に還元する。
