Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、長江中・下流域における大小河川の沿岸沙田地帯、太湖・洞庭湖・ハ陽湖などの沿岸湖田地帯、長江下流域沿海の沙田地帯などの「周縁」地帯に着目し、明清期以降における開発と移住、秩序や規範意識の形成過程と変容を明らかにするものである。とりわけ、近世に形成された社会秩序や規範意識が、近現代における国家の浸透の中でどのように変容したのかについて、様々なエスニックグループ間の紛争や官民間の対立の検討を通じて考察する。本研究では「水辺」の諸集団の歴史や規範意識に焦点を当てた環境社会史のアプローチを採ることによって、陸上民の立場から組み立てられてきた中国史観の再検討を試みる。
