Outline of Research at the Start

完新世の世界最大規模とされる鬼界カルデラの鬼界アカホヤ噴火（K-Ah噴火）をとりあげて、東海地方以西の各地におけるK-Ah噴火前後の遺跡を集成し、噴火前後の遺跡動態や主要遺跡の遺構・遺物の内容の比較検討をもとに、各地域における狩猟採集社会の様相に変化があるかどうかを読み取る。最終的に各地域どうしの様相を比較し、噴火による影響の有無と度合いを評価して、巨大噴火による広域的な影響について考察する。
