Outline of Research at the Start

都市―農村区分は地理学の主要な概念の１つであり、その中でも都市―農村連続体 urban-rural continuum （URC）は、都市と農村を連続的に捉える地域分類上の概念である。日本においてURCの公的な指標は存在せず、学術的にもその構築にあたって共有されるツールは存在しない。本研究では、日本におけるURC指標群を開発するとともに、その指標と社会調査・疫学調査資料・現地調査の結合を通し、都市―農村連続体上からみた生活圏単位での健康格差および関連する社会格差の実態について健康地理学の視点を軸に新たな知見を提示する。
