Outline of Research at the Start

本共同研究は、18世紀熱帯アジア（南・東南アジア）における港市の輸出貿易と、後背地での輸出用の農業生産（綿布生産を含む）との関係やそれぞれの成長を検討する研究プロジェクトである。その際、モンスーンに代表される熱帯アジアに特有の季節変動という自然環境要因を分析の視角に加える。最終的には、18世紀の熱帯アジアに「自然環境適応型生産・貿易システム」が形成されたことを明らかにする。
