本研究は、近代日本の国内総生産（Gross Domestic Product: GDP）推計として、広く利用されている『長期経済統計』を改訂、拡張することを目的としています。我々は長く『長期経済統計』の改訂作業に取り組んでいますが、本研究では特に資本推計に焦点を当てているところが大きな特徴です。原資料のチェックや推計方法の改善を通じて、より頑健な推計値を算出するだけでなく、近世における資本の成長にも目を配ることで、超長期の日本の経済成長の姿を描き出します。
