Outline of Research at the Start

日系・沖縄系社会の研究は、「混血」を看過しがちであった。ペルーではそれが著しい。ブラジルでは、日系団体が通婚を避けるよう成員を統制してきたが、相手が白人なら許容する選択的な成員性や、ブラジルの「人種民主主義」神話との関連は研究されていない。カナダの華人研究も、19世紀後半のチャイナタウン外における「混血」の研究がひとつあるだけだ。在日朝鮮人の「混血」研究は、「混血者」の周縁化とその緩和の過程は不明で、運動の担い手としての「混血者」も看過されがちであった。
本研究は、とりこぼされてきた「混血」という事象に始めて本格的に取り組み、その出生の実態、客体性、主体性を明らかにする実証研究となる。
