Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、「北東北」地域と対象とし、これを日本の少子化・人口減少の最前線と位置づけ、その社会解体構造を明らかにするとともに、世代継承を通じた持続可能な地域社会存続の可能性がどのような形で実現しうるのか（しないのか）を探るものである。
研究代表者・分担者・調査協力者の協力により、北東北とその参照地としての西日本等で地域調査を実施する。また「東京の北東北人」調査を行うとともに、そこに北東北の産業開発史（歴史調査）を重ねる研究を企画する。
人口減少・東京一極集中・少子化という社会変動にかかわる重要変数をこの研究の中から見出し、その連関関係を確定して、人口減少問題の分析のための視座の確立を目指す。
