Outline of Research at the Start

現在，社会変化に対応した市民性教育改革が進められている。その特徴として生徒自身が社会参加することで批判的・能動的な市民性を育成しようとする点があげられる。しかし，改革が進む中で，伝統的な日本の学校文化とのギャップが見えてくるようになった。
このギャップを埋めるため、本研究では、①日本の学校調査を通し，その市民性形成のメカニズムを明らかにすること。その上で、②各学校の文脈や要請に即し，その特性を生かした形で，効果的な市民性教育システムに関する具体的提案を学校と協働的に検討し、自律的な実施を可能にする体制づくりが重要である。本研究を受け、日本型の市民性教育改革モデルを提案し、発信してゆく。
