Outline of Research at the Start

日常的にメディアから得られる科学ニュースを、科学の性質とメディアの性質から適切に信頼性を評価する「科学メディアリテラシー(SML: Science Media Literacy)」の育成が求められる。初等中等教育におけるSMLの育成は急務であり、国際的な課題でもある。本研究の目的は、SMLの育成のため、初等中等における“教科”の文脈に埋め込まれたSML教育を構築することである。
そのために、① 評価の観点と手法の理解を促す初等中等教育に対応したSML教材を開発し検証する。②オーセンティックな科学的実践の文脈に埋め込まれたSML教育をデザインし検証する。
