Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本の木造で作られた歴史的建造物を、柱や梁などの架構方法に着目して検証を行うものである。各地に存在する寺院建築や民家などの歴史的建造物は、鉄筋コンクリート構造などの現代建築とは異なる空間的な魅力を有しているが、そうした建築空間の特徴は、長い時代の中で育まれ、多様な展開をみせてきた架構方法に起因する部分が大きい。本研究は、そうした架構方法を立体的に把握するための作図を用いて、一定のパターンや歴史的な変遷の道筋を明らかにするとともに、空間構成の特徴及びデザイン上の工夫や効果を明らかにしようとするものである。
