Outline of Research at the Start

粘土鉱物はO, Si, Al, Mgで主に構成される層状物質であり、自身の2次元性の結晶構造が成長・分離する過程で、あたかも遺伝子のように自身の電荷密度を複製すると言われている。本研究では、初期地球環境においても豊富に存在した粘土鉱物を題材に無機物質中で起こりうる情報の伝達機能を検証し、無機物の生命性の概念を提案することを目指す。
