Outline of Research at the Start

腸内細菌共通抗原 (ECA: enterobacterial common antigen)は、腸内細菌の外膜に共通して存在する糖脂質である。ECA抗体は関節リウマチや炎症性腸疾患で亢進が見られることから、自己免疫疾患との関連が注目されているが、ECAがこれらの炎症の直接的な原因抗原であることはまだ証明されていない。有機化学を基盤としてECA抗体の検出・定量システムを構築する。関節の抗原が菌由来であることを明らかにし、抗体との反応が発症要因となることを検証する。
