Outline of Research at the Start

植物は、古い葉の葉緑体を分解し、その窒素分を新しい葉に運んで再利用する栄養素リサイクルを繰り返しながら成長しています。この葉緑体分解に関わるオートファジー（自食作用）の過程で、葉緑体の局所的な分裂現象が起こることが分かってきました。本研究では、この分裂現象がどのように起きているかを明らかにすることを目指します。さらにこの分裂現象を活性化することで葉緑体の分解を促進し植物の窒素リサイクル効率を向上させられるか調査します。
