Outline of Research at the Start

都市縮退（urban shrinkage）は、都市における自然共生を実現するための空間再編のチャンスであるが、その知識基盤となる都市縮退理論が存在しない。本研究は、グローバルスケールで都市縮退の都市経済・生物多様性への帰結を可視化し、都市縮退理論の新たな構築を目指す。都市縮退によって都市空間にどのような変容が生じそのパターンはどのような要因に左右されるのか、都市縮退による都市空間の変容によって都市経済はどのように変化するのか、都市縮退による都市空間の変容によって都市の生物多様性はどのように変化するのか、を明らかにする。
