Outline of Research at the Start

アトピー性皮膚炎（AD）は、ヒトとイヌに共通する慢性アレルギー疾患であり、再燃の主因として組織常在型記憶T（TRM）細胞の関与が示唆されている。本研究では、TRM細胞と樹状細胞から成るTRMクラスターの維持機構を解明し、その除去による局所免疫記憶の初期化によるADの再燃予防法の開発を目指す。さらに、ヒトとイヌの比較生物学的アプローチを通じて、共通する治療標的の同定と横断的な創薬戦略の構築を目指す。これにより、ADに対する革新的な再燃予防戦略の創出と、ヒトと動物の医療資源を共有する“Sharing Medicine（人獣共通医療学）”の新領域の開拓を目指す。
