Outline of Research at the Start

高齢者の転倒骨折や要介護の要因として重要なサルコペニア（加齢性筋肉減少症）とホルモン作用との関連性について基礎的検討を行い、サルコペニアの成因・背景として性ホルモンや、慢性炎症・老化を基盤とした炎症老化が関与している可能性を深耕する。本研究において、骨格筋特異的な性ホルモン作用の観点から、サルコペニアの病態ならびに臓器・代謝連関の制御機構とそれらの性差について、分子レベルで明らかにすることを目指す。
