Outline of Research at the Start

心血管疾患における後天的性染色体喪失に関する研究は、申請者らの研究グループが世界に先行して進めてきた分野である。申請者らは、男性の血液におけるLOYが心血管疾患の死亡リスク増加と関連していることを明らかにし、そのメカニズムを研究してきた（Sano S. Science. 2022）。本研究では、これまでの知見をさらに発展させ、新たに臨床研究と動物実験を実施することで、性染色体喪失と心血管疾患の関連を解明することを目指す。
