Outline of Research at the Start

先行研究において、高ショ糖高脂肪食負荷肥満マウスにおける脂肪酸合成酵素(FASN)の肝臓特異的欠損により、脂肪肝・高血糖・インスリン抵抗性の改善と高HDL血症が認められた。インスリン抵抗性の改善は通常食の過食や高脂肪食飼育にて同程度に肥満したマウスでは認められなかった。本研究では、肝臓のFASN欠損による代謝改善とリポ蛋白代謝変容の分子機構を解明し、肝臓のFASNのMASLD、2型糖尿病、脂質異常症の治療標的としての可能性を検証する。
