Outline of Research at the Start

我々は、がん細胞特異的に感染・増殖する増殖型レトロウイルスベクター（RRV）を用いた自殺遺伝子療法を開発し、悪性神経膠腫に対する臨床試験で良好な結果を得た。しかし、悪性中皮腫への適用には、①腫瘍へのRRV輸送効率の向上、②抗腫瘍効果の増強が課題である。本研究では、腫瘍集積性を有する間葉系幹細胞（MSC）を運搬体とした新たな輸送手法を導入し、さらに、マウス及びテナガザル由来RRVを用いた個別化療法と重感染を利用した自殺遺伝子併用療法を開発する。本研究により、本療法の悪性中皮腫への臨床応用を実現し、患者の予後やQOLの改善を目指す。
