Outline of Research at the Start

慢性疼痛はその形成機序に不明な点が多いため治療開発が未だ不十分である。その主要な機序の一つとして中枢神経系でのカルシウムシグナルが挙げられるが、中でもCalcium-release activated calcium (CRAC) チャネルを介したシグナルが慢性疼痛形成に重要である可能性が示唆される。本研究の目的は中枢神経細胞のCRACチャネルを特異的にノックアウトしたマウスを主に用いて慢性疼痛の機序を明らかにする事で、慢性疼痛の新たな治療戦略に貢献する事である。
