Outline of Research at the Start

我々はこれまで口腔機能とフレイルやサルコペニア、要介護状態の発生、栄養状態の悪化、医療費の高騰などとの関連を明らかにしてきた。またオーラルフレイル改善プログラム等を開発し、短期間の無作為化比較対照試験により、認知機能や栄養状態の改善効果を明らかにしてきた。しかし、健康の維持増進に寄与する、持続可能な口腔機能への介入のあり方や、長期効果の検証による因果関係やメカニズムの解明には至っていない。そこで後期高齢者歯科健診や口腔機能管理など整備されつつある歯科医療と、地域包括ケアシステムの口腔関連サービスを連携させることの長期効果を検証することを目的に国保データベースを活用した３つの研究を行う。
