Outline of Research at the Start

口腔常在微生物叢における常在細菌の構成バランスの悪化に加齢が関連することが明らかとなってきた。高齢期に入り微生物叢の制御を担う唾液の質が低下し、この口腔常在微生物叢の老化をもたらしている可能性が考えられる。本研究では我々が過去に行った3回の調査で取得した成人地域住民の唾液に含まれる成分組成を決定し、加齢変化の詳細を明らかにするとともに微生物叢の構成バランス悪化に関わる成分を特定する。本研究の成果は生涯にわたる健康な口腔常在微生物叢の維持を実現するうえで重要な基盤データとなる。
