Outline of Research at the Start

新型コロナウイルス感染症(COVID-19)パンデミックでは、病原体ゲノムデータの蓄積や、いわゆる「人流データ」の解析が進んだ。一方で、緻密な疫学調査結果のリアルタイムな解析や、個々の感染者から取得される疫学データと病原体ゲノムデータとを紐付けた解析を実施する体制は不十分なままだった。本研究は、日本の保健所が収集した疫学調査データベースを収集し、病原体ゲノムデータと紐付け、さらに人流データを統合して解析する。それにより、COVID-19感染拡大様式を精緻に把握し、次なるパンデミックに備えたサーベイランスや公衆衛生・社会的対策の戦略的実施に資することを目指す。
