Outline of Research at the Start

頭頸部がんは，再発率が高く，治療後に外見，言語機能，嚥下機能の変化を伴うため，患者に多くの弊害をもたらし，患者の半数が抑うつ症状を呈する。また，自殺死亡リスクが他のがんに比べて高い。近年，局所進行・再発頭頸部がん患者にホウ素中性子捕捉療法（BNCTと略す）が保険適用となり，患者の治療選択肢が拡大している。しかし，国内外においてBNCTを受ける患者への援助は試行錯誤の状態であり，エビデンスに基づいた看護の確立が急務である。
本研究は，BNCTを受ける再発頭頸部がん患者のQOLを保つための包括的援助モデルを構築し，その効果と妥当性および臨床適用の可能性を検証する。
