Outline of Research at the Start

がん悪液質は、食欲不振、体重減少、骨格筋の萎縮を特徴とする低栄養症候群であり、直接の死因にもなり得る。この症候群に対して、中心静脈栄養療法を含む既存の栄養療法はほぼ無効である。がん悪液質の病態生理はいまだ解明されておらず、がん悪液質の治療法の開発は進んでいないのが現状である。本研究では、がん悪液質モデルマウスの肝臓における小胞体とリソソームの変化をより詳細に調査する。本研究の成果は、がん悪液質の病態生理に関する新たな知見を提供し、革新的な治療法の開発につながることが期待される。
