Outline of Research at the Start

近年、低い高度を周回するLEO衛星を用いたネットワーク(NW)が注目されている。現在、コンテンツを効率的に配信する技術として、NWの様々な場所に設置されたキャッシュサーバ(CS)からコンテンツを配信するCDNが広く用いられており、LEO衛星にもCSを搭載しLEO衛星からキャッシュ配信を行うことが期待される。しかしLEO衛星のキャッシュ配信には、需要の空間的局所性の活用が困難、キャッシュ容量が小さい、キャッシュミス時の遅延が大きい、という問題がある。そこで本研究は、これら３つの課題を解決し、LEO衛星を用いて効率的なキャッシュ配信を実現する技術を確立する。
