Outline of Research at the Start

映像は正確な情報の伝達手段であり、高精細な映像をリアルタイムで共有することができれば、様々な社会問題を解決することが可能になる。しかし、実際の現場では映像データ量の問題で高精細な映像の伝送が困難であることも多い。本研究課題では、通信速度などの制約によることなく必要な情報を確実に伝送することを可能にする高圧縮映像符号化（圧縮）技術を開発することを目指す。
