Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の目的は、「実在感」のような『質感』の知覚的画像再現を通じて、質感を伝える画像再現技術を開発することである。具体的な目標は、①人が視覚情報からどのように質感を知覚するのかというメカニズムの解明、②質感を伝えるために必要な画像技術の開発およびその実用性の検証、の２点である。これにより、本研究は、質感知覚のメカニズムを科学的に解明するという学術的貢献にとどまらず、質感を伝える画像技術の開発を通じた産業的貢献も目指す。
