Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、中学校・高等学校の教育現場において主体的で深い学びを提供するために、水中ドローンを利用して「生徒体験型海洋探索」を実現する新しい教育プログラムを開発する。自然豊かな隠岐島をフィールドとして、海洋中の堆積物を採取する際に用いる水中ドローンを生徒自らが教室内から遠隔操作することで、リアルタイムに探索活動を体験する。また、採取した海洋堆積物中に含まれるマイクロプラスチック・鉱物・生物等を大学保有の各種測定機器で分析し、分析結果のデータを教室内にフィードバックすることで、「その結果、何が考えられ、どのような課題が導き出され、次の研究にどのようにつなげるか」を議論する探究活動が展開できる。
