Outline of Research at the Start

This project investigates how roadblocks in the Democratic Republic of Congo exacerbate resource-driven conflicts and disrupt global mineral supply chains. Combining surveys, geospatial data, and econometric analysis, it assesses socioeconomic impacts on vulnerable populations and informs policies for Japan’s foreign aid and conflict resolution efforts. Results aim to enhance mineral governance and promote sustainable development in conflict-affected regions.
