Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、北アフリカ・中東に位置する亜熱帯オアシス農村の最近50年の変容メカニズムを、生業(特に農牧業)を軸に動態的に解明することを目的とする。以下の4つの方法を軸に目的を達成する。第1は文化人類学手法によるフィールドデータの収集、第2は、オアシス農村研究の先達が遺したアーカイブ画像の活用、第3は、衛星画像とGISなどの地理学情報を用いた手法とフィールドデータの統合的分析、第4は、研究プロセスにおいて、質が異なるデータ群を可視的に比較するための情報共有ツールの開発による分析手法の高度化である。この情報共有ツールを応用し、多国間国際的研究ネットワーク構築を目指すことも本研究の重要な目的である。
