Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、ソ連解体と独立から30年以上を経て、近年ますますイスラームが社会的に目に見えるようになってきたウズベキスタンを主な対象として、イスラームと社会の関係を多角的・動態的に捉えようとするものである。独立後も政権の側からはもっぱら警戒と監視の対象とされていたイスラームが公的にも「よきもの」として顕著に立ち現れつつある状況は、ソ連的なものが色濃く残る「ポスト社会主義」から、それらが後退していく「ポスト社会主義以後」への移行の兆しと捉えることができる。国家が推奨する「ナショナルなイスラーム」はどのような現状にあり、それを人々はどのように受け止め、どのような近未来像を描くのかを明らかにしたい。
