Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の課題名「元素や秩序を問わないX線構造解析基盤の構築」にあるX線構造解析は、実験室から放射光施設にわたり広く普及した汎用的な実験手法の代表格である。一方で、「軽い元素が見づらい」、「不規則な構造に気づきにくい」といった弱みもある。これらの弱みを克服できれば、X線構造解析の汎用性は一段と高まり、ポリマーのような軽量材料からガラスのようなアモルファス材料まで応用範囲は広がると期待できる。本研究ではそのような問題を解決するために、軽元素から重元素まで、そして規則構造から不規則構造まで一気通貫に構造解析が可能な計測基盤を構築する。
