Outline of Research at the Start

知的・精神・発達障害者は抽象的な思考や文字の読み書きに困難さがあることから，非障害者と異なるサイン（ピクトグラムや文字情報を含む案内標識）の見え方や理解をしている．にも関わらず，国際標準化機構ISOサインデザインガイドラインにおいては，これらの障害は考慮されていない．本研究では工学とデザイン学を融合する研究体制をとる．工学研究では，視覚・行動情報収集分析及び，予測数理モデルを推定し，サインを見ている時，経路探索時の視覚特性を明らかにする．デザイン学研究では，知的・精神・発達障害者のわかりやすさを包摂したサインデザインガイドライン及び経路探索時の「見え」の体験ができるVRツールも開発する．
